Obituary of Loretta C. Graham
Loretta C. Graham, formerly of Iowa City died Thursday, July 12, 2007, at the Parkview Care Center in Wellman following a lengthy illness. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 16, 2007, at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City, with Reverend Rich Adam officiating. Burial at Oakland Cemetery in Iowa City. Visitation will be from 2 to 6pm Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in her memory. Loretta Coral Bell Graham was born January 6, 1929, in rural Johnson County, Iowa the daughter of Carl and Marjorie (Runyon) Bell. She married Alfred Al Graham on April 12, 1952 in Iowa City. She has spent her life caring for her family, as the mother of ten children, Loretta always found the time and love for each. As grandchildren, and great-grandchildren came along, so did more love and joy as far as Loretta was concerned. Nothing brought her greater joy than her family. Her family includes, six daughters, Carolyn Henderson of North Liberty, Deborah Graham of Iowa City, Lorie Benskin of Washington, Rhonda Lintz and her husband, Russell of Kalona, Jennifer Mohror and her husband, Mark of Aledo, IL, and Jessica Maher of Iowa City; daughter-in-law, Sherry Ingalls of Riverside; 39 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, and her brother, Russell Bell and his wife, Bonnie of Joe Town, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Al; sons, Jerry Graham and Larry Ingalls; and daughters, Kathy McPhersen, Sandy Trimble and Kitty Bothell; and grandson, Tyler Fordice. Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service is caring for Lorettas family and her services.
