Obituary of Lila Louise Edmondson

Lila L. Edmondson, 80 of 320 S. Dubuque Street, Iowa City died Sunday, September 30, 2007, at her home following a lengthy illness. At her request, no services will be held. Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service of Iowa City assisted her family with all the arrangements. Those left to honor her memory include: son, Gary (Lucie Shingledecker) Edmondson of Lisbon; daughters, Diana (Kirby) Yocum of Griffin, GA; and Sheree Weeber of Clinton, IA; son, James Edmondson II of Iowa City; 6 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Harold (Marian) Cox of Iowa City; sister, Shirley (Robert) Yerington of Muscatine; two sisters-in-law, June (Louis) Cox and Nellie (Clifford) Cox all of Iowa City and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Florence (Stover) Cox; brothers, Clifford, Louis, and Donald Cox; sisters, Leona (Earl) Benson and Darlene Cox; and grandson, Kirby Shane Yocum.
