Obituary of Ronald A. Evans

Ronald A. Evans, 63 of 738 Rundell Street, Iowa City died Thursday, September 27, 2007, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City, following complications of a stroke. A gathering for family and friends will be held from 1 to 3pm Sunday, September 30th. at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service. Ronald Alan Evans was born December 18, 1943, in Osage, Iowa the son of Clifford L. Evans and Leone M. Barker Evans. He graduated from Keokuk High School in 1961, and received a degree from the University of Iowa in the 1970’s. During the Vietnam War he served in the United States Army. For a number of years he was employed by Westinghouse as a computer programmer. His family includes two brothers, Martin Lavern Evans of Rock Island, IL, and Douglas Lee Evans of Rochester, NY; and their families. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford in 1946 and Leone this year on June 21st. Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service is caring for Ron’s services and his family.
