Obituary of Lorie R. Johnson

Lorie R. Johnson, 47, of Iowa City died Tuesday, November 13, 2007, at her residence at peace with her death from cervical cancer. Family Services will be held. Lorie Raejean Johnson was born October 26, 1960, in Davenport, Iowa the daughter of Donald L. and Martha L. (Nelson) Johnson. Lorie loved animals and was a Kennel Assistant at Julia’s Kennels for a number of years. Her family includes her daughters, LaDora Martin and her husband, Donny, and Lisa Eshelman and friend James Nelson, all of Iowa City; step-daughter, Cheree Pfeiffer of Coralville; grandchildren, Christopher, Andrea, Daniel and Jade; mother, Martha L. Johnson of Milan, Illinois; sister, Ruth Martin of Milan, Illinois; brothers, Donald L. Johnson and his wife, Mary of New Windsor, Illinois and Herbert E. Johnson and his wife, Leanne of Milan, Illinois; dearest friends, Julia and Bill Chalmers of Iowa City; and beloved dog, “Pooper”. Lorie joins her father, and three children who have died before her.
