Obituary of Margaret Ann Freese

Margaret Ann Freese, 57, of 316 Summit Dr NE, Solon died Sunday, February 24, 2008 at the Oldorf Hospice House in Cedar Rapids, due to a brief illness. A time to share memories will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City. Gathering of family and friends will be after 1 p.m. Tuesday until the time of sharing. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Margaret’s name to Mercy Hospice of Cedar Rapids. Online condolences may be sent for her family through the web @ www.gayandciha.com. Margaret was born September 19, 1950, In Iowa City to Burt and Margaret Stephenson. She attended Iowa City City High until moving to Iowa City West her senior year. On April 17, 1981 she married Calvin Freese. Margaret worked for the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics along with being a home health aid for several years. Her family includes daughter Amy Nordeen (Jeff) of Breckenridge, CO; two step-sons Daniel Freese of Phoenix, AZ, Toby (Angela) Freese of Ainsworth, IA; one granddaughter Nichole Copeland of Cedar Rapids; and a brother James (Kathy) Stephenson of Council Bluffs, IA.
