Obituary of John Hustosky

John “Rodeo” Hustosky, 64, of Coralville, died Saturday, March 22, 2008 at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center due to an extended illness. A memorial service will be held 5 p.m. Monday, March 31, 2008 at the Eagles Lodge of Iowa City. Memorials may be made to the John Hustosky memorial fund. Online condolences may be sent for his family through the wed @ gayandciha.com. John “Rodeo” was born June 3, 1943 in Pennsylvania the son of John S. and Mary (Kaluba) Hustosky. In 1961 he graduated from Dunbar Township High School in Leisenring, PA. At almost 50 years old he attended Penn State University graduating with an Associates Degree in Engineering. He worked for many different businesses as an operating engineer, which brought him to Iowa in 1994. In 1996 he met Vicki Delap, after moving to Iowa City. Vicki and John were married September 1, 2005. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge, American Legion, and AmVets. John’s family includes wife Vicki of Coralville; son John Michael (Janet) Hustosky of Union Town, PA.; daughter Marcy (Dan) Chesslo of Lake Lynn, PA; step-daughter Keri (Kurt) Bohnsack of Iowa City; Sister Marianne (Bob) Konir of Hastings, PA; two brothers Bob (Sharon) Hustosky of Dunbar, PA, Bill (Lucille) Hustosky of Dunbar, PA; Aunt Helen Ruggerier of Dunbar, PA; several nieces, nephews, cousins; and six grandkids Justin, Johnny, Joshua, Emmalie, Joseph, Joshuah. He was preceded in death by his parents.
