Obituary of Louis Kerwin Hulbert III

Louis Kerwin Hulbert III, 70 of 2315 Rice Ridge Lane NE, North Liberty died Monday, April 14, 2008 at his home after a courageous battle with lung cancer. A gathering of family and friends will be held 5 to 8pm Friday, May 2, 2008 at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service of Iowa City. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Iowa City Hospice. Online condolences may be sent for his family through the web @www.gayandciha.com. Louis was born July 3, 1937 in Cedar Rapids, IA the son of Louis Kerwin and Beverly R. (Ramsey) Hulbert. He graduated from McKinley High School of Cedar Rapids in 1955, after high school he went to Coe College where he graduated with a double major in history and English. While in college he met Carol Gilbert they married September 1, 1963 in Spirit Lake, IA. Louis worked 27 years for the Xerox Corporation out of Cedar Rapids. His family includes wife Carol of North Liberty; daughter Laura Hulbert of North Liberty; two adopted grandchildren Natasha and Isaiah Hulbert-Davis both of North Liberty and loving cousins.
