Obituary of William Moreno, Jr.

William Moreno Jr. “Billy”, 53 of Tiffin died Tuesday, July 15, 2008, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Iowa City. Graveside services will be held at 9am Saturday, July 19, 2008, at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Tiffin. Visitation will be from 5 to 8pm Friday at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City. Billy was born April 14, 1955, in Chicago, IL the son of William Moreno Sr. and Eleanor M. Sepaniak Moreno. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. On June 13, 1975, he was united in marriage to Irene Brereton in Worcester, MA. He resided in Worcester until moving to Iowa over five years ago. Billy was a walking information fanatic, or loving referred to as “cesspool of useless information”. Anything you wanted to know from facts about his beloved New York Yankees, to the name of the town you drove through three years ago! His family includes his children, William Moreno III and his wife, Jessica of Uxbridge, MA, Melissa Moreno of Oxford, MA, Kim Moreno of North Carolina, and Michael Moreno of Shrewsbury, MA; grandson, Carrick Moreno; sisters, Kim Galarza and her husband, Humberto Galarza SR. of Worcester, MA, and Toni Berry and her husband, Dennis of Auburn, MA; brothers, Michael Moreno and his wife, Joan of Tiffin, IA, Gary Moreno of Tiffin, IA, and Poochie Moreno of New York; brother-in-law, Mark Rosario of Worcester, MA; many nieces and nephews, those living in Iowa include, Lora, Bobby, Carey, Geno, Lisa and Peter; those living in Massachusetts include Tootsie, Krystle, Anthony, Justin, Shanna, Kali, Mea, Mia, Richard, and Mariah; and Lee of Kansas City, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister-in-law, Mickie Moreno. Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service of Iowa City is caring for Billy’s family and his services.
