Obituary of Mark William Jones

Mark William Jones, 59, of 715 E. College Street, Iowa City died Wednesday, October 29, 2008. A gathering for family and friends will be held at 2pm Sunday, November 2, 2008, at the Zion Lutheran Church, 310 North Johnson Street, Iowa City. Memorials donations can be made in Mark’s memory to either the Iowa City Public Library or the American Red Cross. Online condolences may be sent for his family through the web @www.gayandciha.com. Mark was born February 6, 1949 in East Lansing, MI. He had resided in a number of cities over the years, coming to Iowa City in 1967 where he received both his BA and Masters Degrees from the University of Iowa. Here in Iowa City he was a math instructor in this area, and also an instructor for the United States Navy. His family includes his sister, Carol Nelson of Bartlett, TN Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service is assisting Mark’s family in his arrangements.
