Obituary of Richard H. Peck

Richard H. Peck 54, of 4860 580th Street, Lone Tree, died Saturday, October 18, 2008 at his home due to an extended illness. A gathering of family and friends will be 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, October 21, 2008 at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service of Iowa City. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Richard’s name. Online condolences can be made through the web @ www.gayandciha.com. Richard Peck was born October 29, 1953 in Cedar Rapids the son of Romeyn and Marylin (Hamilton) Peck. He attended the Iowa City Schools before joining the United States Navy in 1970. After the Navy, Ric was married to Wendy Peck February 14, 1983 in Los Vegas, Nevada. Ric and Wendy had two children together Andrew and Stacy before going their separate ways. Rick worked as a carpenter in the local 1260 for Pearson Wall Systems. Ric enjoyed hunting, riding his Harley, skiing, boating, playing his base guitar, and he especially enjoyed attending Stacy’s athletic events. Richard’s family includes his son Andrew Peck and daughter Stacy Peck both of Lone Tree. Richard was preceded in death by his father and former wife Wendy Peck. Richard’s family would like to send a special thank you to Iowa City Hospice for all of their wonderful care they have provided.
