Obituary of Jerry R. Moore

Jerry Moore, 70 of 3874 Martin Lane, NE, Iowa City died at his home, Thursday, October 23, 2008. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 27, 2008, at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City, with burial at Oakland Cemetery in Iowa City. Visitation will be from 2 to 5pm Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Iowa City Hospice or BPOE #590. He graduated with the class of 1956 from Washington High School. Jerry married Joanne Smith on March 20, 1981 in Las Vegas, NV. He had been married to Sheryl Hunsaker and Beryl Martin. For many years he worked for Proctor & Gamble in Iowa City. Jerry was a member of the Elks Lodge #590. His family includes his wife, Joanne; children, Candace Moore (Ken Yoder) of Coralville, Carla Robertson (Ron) of Washington, IA, Bradley Moore of Coralville, Brian Moore (Rene) of West Chicago, IL, Danielle Valde (Brian) of Swisher, IA, Jennifer Nolan of Iowa City, and John Nath (Joanna) of Janesville, WI; 11 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, brothers, Jack Moore (Doris) of Brighton, IA, and Jim Moore (Keiko) of San Francisco, CA.
