Obituary of Virgil Lee Berry

Virgil Lee Berry, 75, of 2432 10th. Street, Coralville, formerly of Des Moines, died on December 4, 2008 at Oaknoll Retirement Residence in Iowa City, Iowa following a brief illness. Virgil, called Lee, was born in Chillicothe, Missouri to Drury and Ethel Mae Berry. Virgil¹s favorite hobby was fishing, fishing and more fishing. His family includes his wife, Jean Berry of Coralville; son, Steven Berry of Washington, DC; Godson, Udell Mure of Des Moines; daughter, Venise (Torri) Berry of Coralville; two grandchildren Averi Bryant and Thomas Berry Mike, his sister and brother-in-law, Leona and Robert Mansaw of Kansas City. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Toni Berry and sister, Carmen Johnson. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at G.M Cannon Mortuary, 1451 East Grand Ave., Des Moines, Iowa, 515-244-5253.
