Obituary of Alan R. Schnoebelen

Alan R. Schnoebelen, 65 formerly of Hills died Saturday, January 17, 2009, at the Greenwood Manor Care Center in Iowa City. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 21, 2009, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hills. Burial will be at the St. Stanislaus Cemetery near Hills. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church. Memorial donations can be made in his memory to Atrium Village in Hills. Online condolences may be sent for his family through the web @ www.gayandciha.com. Alan Robert Schnoebelen was born June 8, 1943, in Iowa City the son of Robert and Catharine (Jenn) Schnoebelen. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hills and an avid fan of the Iowa Hawkeye’s. His family includes two sisters, Corinne Murphy (George) of Hills; and Suzanne Schutte (Jerry) of Bettendorf; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
