Obituary of Shirley J. Goodell

Shirley J. Goodell, 71 of 320 S. Dubuque Street, Iowa City died in her home Tuesday, February 3, 2009. Her family includes her children, Mark Goodell (Judi) of Iowa City; Mary Cocklin (Randy) of Ft. Wayne, IN; Erica Goodell (Karl)of Alexandra, VA; Joe Goodell of Coralville; and Aaron Goodell (Susie) of Williamsburg; 4 grandchildren, Karrie, Matthew, A.J. and Kyle; brothers and sisters, Virginia Bistlin of Brandon, IA; Patty Abernathy of Melford, IA: Mary Richart of Center Point, IA; Marcella Caslavka of Clutier, IA; Conrad Brehm of Vinton, IA; and Jerry Brehm of Shellsburg, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Cynthia Goodell; brothers, Robert and Dick Brehm. Family services have been held through Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service. Memorial donations can be made in her memory to the American Lung Association.
