Obituary of John H. Lyvers

John H. "Jack" Lyvers, 71 of Coralville died Saturday, May 23, 2009, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City. A gathering of family and friends to remember Jack will be held from 4-6pm Friday, May 29, 2009 at the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Coralville. A memorial fund has been established in Jack's memory. Online condolences may be sent for his family through the web at www.gayandciha@xwires.com. John H. Lyvers was born July 10, 1937, in Shenandoah, Iowa the son of Everett W. and Nina (Carman) Lyvers. He graduated from high school in Farragut, Iowa. Jack was united in marriage to Albina "Dina" M. Gomez. He worked in the grocery business and with his brother in tree service prior to his retirement. His family includes his wife, Dina; children, Mark Lyvers, John Lyvers II, Matt Lyvers, and Gloria Gomez; brother, Leon Lyvers; sisters, Barbara Richey, Iowa and Wonda Lyvers. He was preceded in death by his son, Rod.
