I have thought of you Ken so many times over the years, whether it is visiting River Front Estates on the Iowa River, or the Little Niangua on the Lake of the Ozarks, or just seeing a boat, a jeep, or even a German shepherd, or so many other thingies that you have imprinted on in this world for those that knew you well. I regret not attending your funeral and telling your daughter what I am writing to you now.
With my Grandfather passing away this week at 95, the memorable male role models from my younger days are nearly gone. There weren’t many to begin with, so I’m grateful you came along. You dated my mother for many years and lived together at the Lake of the Ozarks for a good chunk of the 1990s when I was in college. I look back and admire how well you could pull off being a genuinely caring guy and at the same time aim to do whatever the sam hell you wanted. A good template for anyone in this short life.
I am so happy that I visited you in Greenview before you passed. Thanks for all the nice memories Ken, so much to miss!
