Obituary of Angela D. Gilbert

Angela Dee Gilbert, 22 of Des Moines went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, August 9, 2009, at the University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City following a lengthy illness. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, August 14, 2009, at the Meadows Club House @ 2525 Countyline Road, in Des Moines. Angela Dee Gilbert was born October 23, 1986, in Des Moines the daughter of Donald W. and Sandra D. (Maier) Gilbert. She attended schools in Des Moines and Creston, graduating from Des Moines North High School in 2005. Angie enjoyed life, doing crafts, scrap booking, listening to music, helping others, and spending time with family and friends. Her family includes her father and his wife, Donald and Bobbie Gilbert of Des Moines; brother, Adam Gilbert, two Step sisters, Butty Ruckle, Patty Wright all of Des Moines, a boyfriend, Joseph Butler of Des Moines, grandparents, Judy Maier and Frank Maier both of Des Moines, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who all were very close to Angie! She was preceded in death by her mother, Sandra; and grandparents, Wayne and Maxine Gilbert.
