Obituary of Patricia VanDyke

Patricia (Dubler) VanDyke, 70, of 151 Broadmoor Lane, Iowa City died Sunday, May 16, 2010 at Mercy Hospital under the care of Hospice following a long illness. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 19, 2010, at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service. Burial will take place in Piketon, Ohio at a later date. Haas was born September 14, 1939, in Dubuque, Iowa. She married Jay VanDyke at EUB United Methodist Church in Coralville on May 9, 1991. Patricia's life was dedicated to raising her special son, Mark Dubler, and working at UI Hospitals and Clinics from 1970 to 2000. Patricia's family includes her husband, Jay; son, Mark; daughter-in-law Renee Dubler; grandchildren, Aaron and Anna all of Butler, Ohio. Through her marriage to Jay; Patricia's other relatives include Greg and Julie and their children in Winterset; Michael and Rhonda and their children in Bettendorf; Jerry and Mary and their child in Louisville, Kentucky. She is also survived by her siblings, Samuel Haas Jr. (Judy) of Denton, TX; Frederick Haas (Donna) of Alpharetta, GA; Julie Haas Saffar (Manny Saffar) of Chicago, IL; and Fran Haas (Cheryl) of Hawthorne Woods, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Katherine Haas and sister, Karen VanDamme.
