Obituary of Lawrence quot;Larry" Hardy

Larry Hardy died at his home on Thursday, May 20, 2010. He wanted his obituary to read, "Larry Hardy died after a long and cowardly battle with ALS..." Nothing could be further from the truth. Larry endured ALS with grace and humor--and strength. He is dead and our lives are forever changed. We miss him terribly. Larry is survived by his wife, Dee; his children, Van Hardy (Emilie) of Waterloo; Anne Hyang Ja Hardy of Coralville; and Sarah Hardy-Scott (Nic) of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, Marisah Richards, Nolan Scott, Zoe Scott, Elliot Scott, Haiden Hardy, and Carver Hardy; his sister, Liz Hardy and mother Ann Hardy. A gathering of family and friends will be held at his home on Saturday, May 29th from 2-5 p.m. In lieu of flowers Larry asked that people plant daffodils. and watch them bloom in the spring.
