Obituary of Daniel L. Goldman

Daniel Leslie Goldman, 58, died Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at the Iowa City University Hospitals and Clinics following surgical complications. He is survived by daughters Shannon (Goldman) Maaske and Susana Goldman; his son, Stephen Goldman; son-in-law Greg Maaske; grandchildren Ava (4) and Blake (1 ½); four brothers Dennis, David, Darrell and Donald; and many close friends. Born January 20, 1952 and raised in Delta, Iowa, the son of Clifford and Norma Maxine (Lisk) Goldman, he was a lifelong resident of Iowa. In his early years, Mr. Goldman worked on the family's farm with his four brothers. After graduating from Sigourney High School in 1970, he attended Central College, graduating in 1974 with a bachelor's degree in Biology. He then worked in business and construction in locations throughout Iowa. After living in Creston, Iowa and Ames, Iowa he settled in Boone, Iowa for his remaining years. He will be remembered as having a great sense of humor, a large heart and a very strong will. A family viewing was held at Gay & Ciha Funeral Home on September 10th, 2010.
