Grissell Krall. He graduated from West Branch High School in 1962 and from Iowa State University with an Agricultural Degree. On February 20, 1965, Chuck married Barbara Ann Brant at St. Bridget’s Catholic Church in the Nolan Settlement. The couple has farmed their entire married lives north of West Branch. His passion for farming was obvious, from the crops in the fields to his livestock, he loved farming. He was a member of the Cedar County Cattleman’s Association, had received numerous soil conservation awards, and recently he and his son hosted an Angus Association visit to their farm. A true cattleman he was, and was most proud of the fact that he farmed with his son, Dan. His family includes his wife, Barbara; daughter and her husband, Gina and Jason Donato of Santa Fe, NM; son and his wife, Dan and Allison Krall of West Branch; three grandchildren, Jackson John Donato, John Avery Krall and Lila Ann Krall; and a sister and her husband, DeAnna and Larry Lear of North Liberty. Farming was his life, but second only to his family. Chuck will be remembered as a loving and wonderful husband, dad, grandpa, brother and friend. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Richard F. Krall Jr. ‘Dick”.
