Obituary of Bradley D. Symmonds

Bradley Douglas Symmonds, age 20, of Austin, Minnesota, drowned Wednesday, September 15, 2004 in Austin. Friends may call from 4-8 pm on Tuesday and from 9-10 am on Wednesday at Mayer Funeral Home in Austin. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 22, 2004 at the Church of St. Augustine with Father Joe Fogal officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Austin. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Bradley’s name. Brad was born November 23, 1983 in Ames, Iowa to Douglas and Kelly (Smith) Symmonds. He worked for A-Best Janitorial Service. Bradley attended Austin High School, loved disc golfing, the Minnesota Vikings, and the Minnesota Timberwolves. He was a loving brother and son who loved his dog, Stormy. Brad’s family includes his father, Doug Symmonds of Austin; his mother and step-father, Kelly and Dave Nystel of Austin; sister, Ellyn Symmonds; brothers, Patrick and Bryan Symmonds, all at home; grandparents, Joan Smith of Davenport, IA, and Ronald and Wanda Symmonds of Wilton, IA; many aunts and uncles including, Lori Clark and her husband, Jeff of Solon, numerous cousins and friends.
