Obituary of Kimberly S. Waldschmidt

Kimberly S. Waldschmidt, 37, of Riverside, Iowa died of cancer Wednesday, October 18, 2006, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 24, 2006, at Gay and Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City. Kimberly Sowell Waldschmidt was born June 3, 1969, in Savannah,Georgia the daughter of Sandra McGraw Sowell and Travis W. Sowell. After graduating from high school, she attended the Georgia Institute of Technology, graduating with a Bachelor’s of Industrial Engineering. Kimberly was the Plant Manager for General Mills in Chanhassen, Minnesota and had worked for General Mills for fifteen years. Kimberly’s family includes her husband, Kevin Waldschmidt of Riverside; parents, Sandra and Travis Sowell of Pooler, GA; brother, Travis Randolf Sowell of Pooler, GA; sisters, Charlene Patrick and Darlene Barker both of Pooler, GA; nephews, Joseph Patrick, Barry Beaubien, and Christopher Sowell; nieces, Tess Barker and Jessica Patrick. She was preceded in death by her beloved black Labrador dog, Sadie. Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service of Iowa City is caring for her family and her services.
