Obituary of Donna Martin

Donna M. Martin, 75 of North Liberty died at the home of her daughter and son-in-law in North Liberty on Saturday, April 28, 2007, following a long illness. A Blessing Service will be held on Friday, May 4 at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home in Pittsburgh, PA. Burial will be at the Jefferson Memorial Park Cemetery. Donna Marie Lynch Martin was born November 14, 1931 in Salem, West Virginia, to Thomas and Lois (Williams) Lynch. She graduated from Munhall High School and attended Robert Morris Community College. On December 27, 1952 she married Donald R. Martin in Munhall. The couple made their home in West Mifflin, PA near Pittsburgh for many years. Donna worked for Anderson Little a division of Richmond Brothers. She was a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic church in West Mifflin. Two years ago the couple moved from Pennsylvania to North Liberty, Iowa to be near their daughter and her husband. Donna’s family includes her husband, Donald of North Liberty; daughter, Kim Mann and her husband, David of North Liberty; sons, Kent Martin of West Mifflin, PA, and Jay Martin and his wife, Maura of Elizabeth, PA; 9 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. Donna was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Jean Shahan. Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service of Iowa City is caring for Donna’s family and the local arrangements.
