Obituary of Ralph Keupker
Ralph Kuepker, 67 of 401 High Ave Oxford, died Friday, July 27, 2007 due to an extended illness, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 31, 2007, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Homestead, with the Reverend Wayne Woolery officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8pm Monday at Gay & Ciha Funeral Home - Oxford Chapel. Memorial donations can be made in his memory to Iowa City Hospice or St John's Lutheran Church @ Homestead, Iowa. Ralph was born August 30th 1939 in Sumner, Iowa the son of Norman and Norma (Volker) Kuepker he graduated form Sumner High School and went on to work in construction. On February 10, 1962 Ralph was married to Juanita Lee, together they lived in Iowa City and moved to West Palm Beach, Florida from 1969 until moving to Oxford in 1975. He owned and operated Kuepker Construction and had also worked for McComas-Lacina Construction. Through Ralph's life he became the best and fastest block layer in the state. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. Ralph enjoyed spending time fishing, hunting, and woodworking. His Family includes his mother Norma Kuepker; three sons, Jeff and wife Jacki Kuepker their children Heather, Corey, and Emma of Iowa City, Steve and wife Juli Kuepker and their children Craig and Kayla of North Liberty, Kenny and Michele Kuepker and their children Paige, and Zachary of Iowa City; a daughter Krista Kuepker and partner, Dee Walker and son Jacob of Nichols, Iowa; two brothers Charles and wife Betty Kuepker of Cedar Falls, David Kuepker of West Palm Beach, FL; and a sister Doris and husband Paul Niewoehner of Clayton, NC Ralph was preceded in death by his father, and wife Juanita.
