He graduated from Tipton High School in 1986 and attended several trade schools. He lived in the Oskaloosa area where he had worked as a chef. David was known for his great sense of humor, his love of reading about a variety of topics and mostly a deep love for his three children. Despite his disability, he was always helping others. He knew that this life was only temporary and had set his hope in Jesus Christ as his savior. Even now, he’s celebrating newfound freedom from his illness in Heaven. In death he gave the life-giving gift of organ and tissue donation. Despite the hope they have of seeing him again, Dave will be sorely missed by his family and friends. He is survived by three children, Jessica, 15, Tiffany,13, and Loren Miller, 9, Tracey, Iowa; his mother, Carolyn Miller, Mason City, Iowa; two brothers, Major Joel (Judi) Miller, Fort Knox, KY, and Aaron (Diane) Miller, Mason City; two sisters, Megan (Ken) Bahls, Mason City, and Kirsten (Chris) Fleck, Marion, his grandmother, Dorothy Winslow, Waterloo and many nieces and nephews.
