Obituary of Elizabeth Kindon

Elizabeth “Betty” J. Kindon, 73, of Iowa City died Thursday, November 15, 2007, at her residence. Memorial services will be held at 4 pm Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City, where visitation will be after 3 pm until services on Tuesday. Betty was born September 23, 1934, in Iowa City the daughter of Lewis A. and Edna M. (Baker) Powers. She married Joseph H. Kindon on November 23, 1949. For many years she worked in food service for the University of Iowa and at the Classification Center at Oakdale. Her family includes her daughter, Edna Marie (Dave) Dolder of Iowa City; and son, Joseph (Jennifer) Kindon, Jr. of West Branch; six grandchildren, Elysia Dolder, Samantha Jo, Dylan, Devin, Drake and Shelby Kindon; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Charlotte Tubbs and nephew, Nathan Tubbs. Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service is caring for Elizabeth’s family and her services.
