Obituary of Lia Tung Mei Hsu-Pieper

Lia Tung Mei Hsu-Pieper of North Liberty, Iowa, 47 died December 6, 2008 after a brief illness. No services for the public are planned. Lia received her B.A. in English in 1990 at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech), Blacksburg, Virginia, Her B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communication in 1985, University of Iowa, her B.A. in Asian Studies in 1985 University of Iowa, Certification in English and Journalism & Mass Communication, University of Iowa 1993, M.A. Education, 1997 University of Iowa. She had been employed for many years at Opportunity at Iowa/Office of the Provost, University of Iowa until leaving to become Coordinator/Adjunct Faculty International School of Management Studies/College of Management/Lawrence Technological University, Southfield, Michigan from 2003-2005 when she returned to Iowa City where she had been employed by ACT, NCS Pearson and CTB, Macmillian/McGraw-Hill as a Professional Scorer, Scoring Supervisor and Reviewed ACT ESL Placement tests for diversity and fairness. Her parents, Dr. Hsi Fan Hsu and Dr. Shu Ying Li Hsu and her grandparents preceded her in death. Many relatives and friends survive her.
