Obituary of Beth Price

Marda “Beth” Price, age 70 formerly of Iowa City died Sunday, September 5, 2010, at a care center in Huntsville, AL. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 10, 2010, at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Iowa City. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services on Friday at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established for Central College in her memory. Online condolences may be sent for her family through the web @ www.gayandciha.com Beth grew up in Knoxville, Iowa graduating from the high school there, attending church where she sang in the choir. She went on to graduate from Central College in Pella. For a number of years she taught music in the Corydon School District. She and her husband, Bob moved to Iowa City where she was employed by the University of Iowa Hospitals, first at the Oakdale Hospital and later at the Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. Following her retirement and the retirement of her husband, Bob from the post office the couple moved to Huntsville in 1998. Her family includes her husband, Bob of Huntsville; brother, Greg Johnson (LuAnn) Olathe. KS; sister, Lorna Thomas of Knoxville, IA; and her sister-in-law, Denise Price of Iowa City; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
