Coming off the school bus, I loved seeing Sylvia sitting at our kitchen table, her coffee sweet and cloudy and tissues stuck in her sleeve. She was passionate about her topics of conversation and I loved to hear every word. Later, she came often to care for dad as he sat in the front room battling Lou Gehrigs disease. Sylvia was a happy and caring person during this difficult time. I will always be thankful and I carry the fondest memories. I will miss her dearly.
