Condolences
To The Tvedte Family;
Our Hearts, Thoughts, and Prayers are with you all at this time.
I am truly sorry for your loss. I also recently lost a loved one and was comforted by the scriptures at Rev. 21:4 which promises a time when there will be no more death, mourning nor outcry. Also John 5:28, 29 promises a resurrection. I found comfort and hope in these scriptures and I hope they do the same for you.
To the Tvedte family,
My deepest symphathy to the whole Tvedte family for your sudden and tragic loss. My prayers are with you all. For Twetter; we'll take another try at the creek on the other side.
Rest in peace my old frend,
Robbie Myers
Tom was one of the cast of characters in our neighborhood growing up, he was well-liked by everyone, full of mischief, a great guy with a quick smile and lots of fun to be around. He was loved and I know he will be missed.
To the Tvedte Family, our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Tom was the Best Man in our wedding. And Tom will be the Best Man in our hearts, always and forever.
With our deepest sympathy to you all,
Bob and Donna Shank
To Tom's Family, I met your Tom years ago in the car business, and had the pleasure of meeting him again years later. Yes he was just like what everbody says, loving , giving and a man quick with a smile. We chased that dragon together, with a lot of fun and laughter. I had'nt seen Tom for a couple of years now , and am saddened at thought of not getting back together , with everbody that has chased that demon away and really enjoy our friendship in our intended state. I know now that we should have ! To all his friends from rehab,I wish you well! Our memories never fade, our friendship never dies. May God blees the whole tvedt family, you gave us a great friend, who I hope that is watching over us all.
To Tom's Family,
It's been many years since I've since Tom but I do remember him from high school as being a kind & happy person. I am sorry for your loss and know that he will not be forgotten. RIP Tom
I hadn't seen Tom for a while but will always remember him as a warm, caring person who always had a smile. He will be greatly missed. Michael and Kathryn, he always talked about you two - how much he loved you and how proud he was of you. Keep him in your hearts forever!

I can't tell you how much I mourn with you over the loss of Tom. As you know we were two of the oldest friends; I think since 3rd grade. Although I have not seen him the last few years; I missed the summers he would come to Florida so that we could relive our childhood antics. I enjoyed so much watching Mike and Kathryn grow up and the adoration Tom had for them. He was always a proud papa.
I could write a book full of stories: Most good some probably that should not be written. Like the time we got caught blowing up mail boxes with M-80's. Or our midnight rides on my motor scooter. But above all else I will always remember Tom as my most fierce friend. One who would always come to your aid if you were in need; as I was when I lost my mom at a young age.
Although I am not going to be able to make it for Tom's memorial service I will be there in spirit with you. I can only pray that God grant you a peace that passes all understanding.
To Tom, my brother from another Mother; I will miss you. Rest in peace my dear friend.
Tom is one I owe so much to. I met him while in treatment in 2007 and while I wasn't so sure recovery was the way to go Tom convinced me otherwise and brought me into an amazing fellowship. Tom gave me so much hope of a new life. We would spend hours talking and laughing and crying, and we ate a ton of ice cream. I am forever grateful for Tom and all that he has done for me over the last few years. He was an amazing man who loved his children dearly and talked about them all the time. May you RIP Tom. Love you

To Tom's family:
Although many years have passed since I last saw Tom, I have wonderful memories of him. There wasn't a sweeter guy than Tom Tvedte, he had a million dollar smile and heart to match. You can be sure Tom is loved by many and will be missed terribly.
I am not sure why but Tom's death has deeply touched me. Tom was good guy and so full of life. Maybe that is why I am so moved. So full of life and now so still. I remember him vividly in 6th grade when Mr. Yoder would pass out the papers always passing out the highest scores first and making a proclamation. Tom had the highest score numerous times and I can picture him walking up to get his paper from Mr. Yoder. He never boasted; never walked with a swagger. Just picked up his paper with a big beaming smile on his shiny face.
As a boy growing up, Tom spent the night at our house on several occasions. One time we went down to the rec center in 7th grade and Bill English gave us Viceroy cigarettes which we brought back to house and smoked.
He was a guys guy. Maybe that is why I am so touched. My son is a guys guy.
My warmest thoughts to Tommy"s family.
You were a good friend from day one. I will remember you from years ago and our last encounter. You and I have many friends where your going. Be in peace and Ill forever be in your cookie jar. IS
We met Tom a year ago when my husband entered the drug treatment court program. At a time that was tumultuous and trying, Tom introduced himself and offered up assistance in the transition. When times got tougher for us, Tom offered suggestions and an ear. He was a kind, kind man who always had a smile to pass along.
Our condolences go to his children as they grieve. In time we will all meet again. RIP Tom.
Tom was one of the kindest, most compassionate people I have ever met. He was dear to my entire family. He wil always be remembered by those whose lives he touched. My heart goes out to his family.
Tom was a friend of my parents. I can remember going to visit him and Joyce when I was younger. He was always great with my sisters and I--making sure we had fun while we came to visit. I even remember him taking us to mall because it was something we wanted to do. My condolences are with his family.

Dear Tvedte Family:
I am so sorry for your great loss. I remember Tom from years back as the young vivacious brother of my best friend, Jim. I have very fond memories of Tom. He was a fiesty kid when I knew him. I was so pleased to know him briefly as a great guy when I ran into him in Iowa City a few years ago. Tom helped me with an automobile issue. He could not have been more helpful. Tom will be sorely missed by all; until we all meet up again. The Tvedtes have a great legacy in Iowa City.
God Bless
Marty and Cindy Rauer
I am so saddened by the news of the loss of a dear old friend. I haven't talked with Tom for quite a few years, but often think about him. We had so many laughs....just thinking about him makes me smile.
I remember his amazing way he dealt with customers at the dealership we worked at, I have no doubt that we all learned something from him. I also remember how much he talked about his children, he loved you two so much. I hope you can remember the good times with your Dad, and although this is a difficult time, I hope you also will smile one day with the memorys of your Dad.
Heaven gained another angel in Tom. Rest in peace my friend, and God Bless the entire Tvedte Family.
Rest in peace, Tom. You are no longer in pain.
To Tom's Father and his siblings:
Tom was one of my favorite friends of my Son David. He was always so friendly, always giving of his time for visiting and just a joy to be around. I am so saddened for his Father and siblings, however, I believe he is comfortably wrapped in his Mothers arms. Bless all of you and Peace be with you. I am so sorry that I will be unable to attend the services but I will be out of town .
We offer our sincere condolences to your family. Tom became a friend over the years, as we got to know him from taking our company trucks to ATC. We always asked for Tom when we called, because in addition to knowing we could trust what he had to say, we really enjoyed giving each other a hard time! He had a great sense of humor, he was never anything but friendly, and we will miss him very much. He always told us we "owed him cookies" which we did pay up on, a few times! We are very sorry for your loss and you are all in our thoughts and prayers. Al, Chris, Keefer & Carly Wehmeyer

He was a wonderful person to so many and never let the memories go. The pain will subside over time but the memories will always be there and never let them go as Tom was an outstanding person who gave from his heart.
Who could have known when Spike spoke with Tom 3 weeks ago that that would be the last time he would hear his laugh . To the entire Tvedte Family, May you find comfort in knowing that he is being cared for and one day you will all be joined together again.
Extending my heartfelt sympathies to the Tvedte family- I have many fond memories of the time spent with Tom and the crowd that we ran with in the late 70's and 80's. Tom will always hold a very special place in my heart and he will be missed by so many. Our hearts are heavy

Tom's family, my thoughts and prayers are with you. Tom was an amazing friend that I met when I started in the service and parts department years ago. He always had a smile and answer for everything! Always a phone call away if you needed help. He will truly be missed.
To Tom's Family,
We are deeply sorry for your loss. Tom was a warm and caring person who made everyone around him feel special. He had a gift, and his life has been a gift to all of us. Michael and Kathryn, he was so very proud of you-he beamed when he talked about you. We will dearly miss Tom and his wonderful smile, and we will keep you in our thoughts and prayers. If you need anything, please know you can count on us. Our sympathy to all of you.
Tom's passing has left a deep ripple in the recovery community. We were friends since grade school, and brothers in recovery. The memories will endure and survive, and always bring a smile! The tragedy of it all is what's so hard to reckon with and make sense of.

Tom was a very special man. He seamed to have a way with people that many don't have. He could find the good in any bad situation. He taught me alot about customer relations and dealing with problems. I can say in the past few years he really has grown on me. He has definatly mad me a better person at work and at home. He seamed to have an answer for everything. To his daughter and son he thought the world of you two and talked about you all the time. Tom was truly a great man. I love and mis you bud.
We have lost a special friend, brother, son, and Dad. It is easy at a time like this to be sad but Tom wouldn't have wanted that. So remember the good times (and there were alot) and always keep that smiling face in your heart.
Gonna miss ya buddy.

To the Tvedte family,
To The Family of Tom,
We will forever mourn the loss of a simple person, whose sly little smile, and tender kindness will be tucked away in a special spot in each of our hearts.
Although many of us had probably not seen Tom in ages, as a classmate of ours, we all stand together.
Please know that at each of the future class reunions Tom will be remembered in a special way, along with others of our class that has passed.
He may be gone, but never forgotten.
Rest in Peace our friend, Tvedter!
