Condolences
Phil was a gentleman. We had several cases as opponents, and he was a worthy adversary and defender of his clients. When he shipped out for his last military tour, I recall his secretary crying on the phone as she reported that he would be leaving. It speaks well of someone that an employee would feel such remorse to see him go. May God bless him, and may we all be grateful for his service.
It's been a long time since that little farm in Allentown, NJ. I recall talking to Phil a few years ago on the phone. I remember stopping in Iowa City on the way to the west coast to see John & Kathleen. We talked about my Dad. My phone number is 732-492-7301. Little Gil
I went to Lincoln with Phil and we dropped out of touch as I moved away for a year and we then went to different high schools. Sounds like Phil accomplished an awful lot, and left a lot of good memories behind. Still as we hit 60, it seems like way to early to leave.
My best thoughts and wishes are with Phil's family and friends.
Kathleen, I am so sorry to hear of your son's passing. It seems like just yesterday, although we both know it isn't, that Phil would stop in the basement of Jessup Hall to see you. You were always so proud of him, rightfully so.
Losing a child is so difficult, there is always a place in one's heart for them. I still pine over the loss of my daughter. Faith and family will keep you going.
Please take care.
It is hard for me to accept that Phil has passed away, that his time on this earth is done. I think that he was one of the most accomplished and memorable people I have ever known. He is the one who got me on a commercial plane for the first time in my life and also taught me how to sail; he was a great sailor (of sail boats) and a Naval Officer and... he was a son, a husband, a father, a friend, a scholar, a linguist, an attorney, an actor, a writer, a romantic, a gourmet, a sky diver, a pilot, a world traveler, an inventor and a friend - who had so much more that he wanted to do - he needed many lifetimes to really fit in everything. He was a truly unique individual. And Phil, I know that you wondered how you would be remembered, that it was important to you. I will always remember you as a good man. A good man with an adventurous soul. I am sadden that you didn't have another 40 years here.
My thoughts and prays our with the family. I have many memories. Thank you
Phil for them. I am sorry for your short life on this planet. You left too soon. We had some memorable times. God bless those left behind. Thank You, Phil. Virgil and Cathi Miller
Uncle Phil gave me the only Barbie I had ever received. She stayed on the shelf while I played Archeologist. Phil just laughed the first time he saw me covered in dirt.

To Phil's Family,
I was so sorry to learn of Phil's passing. I was a Lincoln School classmate of Phil's so I really have known him most of my life. I used to also see him at demonstrations on campus in the late 60's/early 70's. he always had such a great sense of what was right in terms of what was going on at that time. Please accept my condolences.

Hello to Phil's family, I was in Phil's class at City High -- the great class of 1968. :-) I was sorry to learn that Phil lost his valiant fight. His emails to our classmates were always so upbeat and positive that I thought he would just keep bouncing back.
We wish you well as you keep Phil in your hearts and minds. Our thoughts and prayers to you. Sue (Kracht) Dane '68 & Bob Dane '66
