Obituary of William T. Prior

William T. “Will” Prior, 26 of Iowa City, formerly of Fairfield died Monday, July 4th, 2011. Services celebrating Will's life will be held at 5:30 PM on Wednesday July 13th at Round Prairie Park Pavilion, located nine miles Southeast of Fairfield on Glasgow Rd. William Thomas Prior was born October 18, 1984, in Fairfield the son of Thomas and Marialyce (Costea) Prior. Growing up in Fairfield he attended school there. He later had lived in Florida, and most recently in Iowa City. He enjoyed basketball, time spent with good friends, weight-lifting, BBQ, good cigars, reading and in his younger years was an avid BMX biker. Survivors include his mother, Marialyce Prior of Iowa City; father, Thomas Prior of Fairfield; sisters, Dawn McDowell of West Palm Beach, FL; and Rose Hughart of Denver, CO; brother, Dev Prior of Iowa City; grandmother, Elizabeth Prior of Jupiter, FL; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service of Iowa City is caring for Will’s family and his arrangements.
