Obituary of Barbara Alderman

Frances was born October 17, 1929, in Dexter, Iowa; daughter of Benjamin and Janet Chapman. She was married to Harry Alderman on March 25, 1951. In 1962 they moved to Iowa City where she taught for several years and was one of the founders, as well as the first administrator, of the Montessori school. Her family includes her husband, Harry of Iowa City and sister, Mildred Welter of Olympia, WA. She was preceded in death by her son, Brian in 2006, and her parents.
