Obituary of Marie R. Williams

Marie R. Williams, 90, of Iowa City, died Monday, October 17, 2011, at Mercy Hospice in Iowa City. Marie (Reinhardt) was born January 3, 1921, in Weimer, TX; daughter of Erwin and Ernestine (Brooks) Reinhardt. She attended the University of Texas and worked as an interior designer. She married T.A. Williams, October 3, 1942, in Hope, AR. She and T.A. lived many places throughout their lives including Hope and El Dorado, AR, Luling, LA, Muscatine, IA, New Braunfels, TX and Iowa City, IA. She was a member of the 1st Presbyterian Church in New Braunfels, TX and a deacon at the Muscatine 1st Presbyterian Church. Her family includes her husband, T.A.; son, Bill (Janet) Williams of Solon, IA; daughter-in-law, Linda Williams of Duluth, GA; grandchildren, Elizabeth Williams of Minneapolis, MN, Paul (Tracy) Williams of Hawthorn Woods, IL, Laura (Jef) Pabst of Duluth, GA, and great-grandchildren, Alex, Brady and Chelsea Williams and Ryan Pabst. Marie was preceded in death by her son, Ken Williams, her parents and brother, Ray Brooks Reinhardt. A family memorial service will be held at a later date.
