Condolences
Grandpa Frank-
Dear Deb, Mary, Ron & Gunner,
I am so glad I had the honor of meeting your father. He was a true American hero, a great father and a wonderful person. I have asked my father to go look in on your Dad,visit with him, show him the ropes- they had so much in common-just know that your Dad has a great new friend in Heaven.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Love,

I'm not sure a daughter could love their father as much as I. You were my best friend, my hero and my rock. The memories I have of you could fill volumes of books. One of my special "daddy and me" times was our Honor Flight to D.C. And now you have taken that ultimate Honor Flight. You have always been the wind beneath my wings and I will continue on never forgetting your smile, laugh and words of encouragement. I will get our garden planted this spring, but I know it will not be near the perfect garden you planted. We will still watch our crop grow together as you will be with me guiding me through the growing process. Rest in peace dad. I love you to the moon and back!!
Mary, Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time. My dad (Art Collins) worked with Frank for several years at Breese's and than I got the honor to work with Frank also when I joined Breese's. Many laughs had there at that place. I loved working with him, and I know that he, my dad and mom (Kathy) are all looking down at us today. Heaven gained another angel for sure. Thinking of you and praying for all of your family at this time. God Bless
Deb and family,
We are sorry to hear of your fathers passing. You are all in our prayers.
Ron and Family,
I am glad that I was able to meet your father at a birthday dinner you were having for him at Flannigan's in Coralville a couple of years ago. I am so sorry for your loss.
Gary
Mary, Deb and Ron --
Frank's many years in the NAPA Auto Parts business will be remembered for his genuine enthusiasm when working with customers, suppliers and his employees. He was a true patriot, occasionally willing to tell of the action he saw during Navy duty in World War II.
All of this took second place, however, to the tremendous love and pride he expressed often for you, his family.
We will all miss Frank. Holly and I deeply regret, because we are out of the country, being unable to attend services for Frank -- but want you to know you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Mary, Ronny and Debbie, please accept my most heartfelt condolences on the loss of your husband and father. I'm glad he got to live a good, long life. You had a really wonderful man in your lives and I am very sorry for your loss. My thoughts are with you all. God bless you.
So sorry to hear about your dad's passing. I know you were a close-knit family and he will be greatly missed. Regretfully, I cannot be with you either Friday evening or Saturday morning. I have a comittment on Friday that I cannot change and Saturday morning I have the legislative conference in Hallgan to take care of. Know that I will be wityh you in spirit and thinking of you. Again, so sorry for your loss.
Dave
We are so deeply sorry for your loss.
You and your family are in our prayers.
I am such a lucky girl to have had such a wonderful Father-in law. I loved your great laugh, your unconditional love and your kind heart. I will miss you so so much.
We feel so fortunate to have had the pleasure of knowing Frank for many years. We have so many good memories...Christmas Eves, golfing, and a very special lunch that Rick and Ron shared with Frank. Rick and I will miss the twinkle in Frank's eyes and his infectious laughter.
My neighborhood lost our patriarch Frank Roberts.
He was such a wonderful man, my other neighbor Marc once said to me, that Frank was the kind of man he wanted to be like the most.
Sweet, good natured, gentle, he loved little dogs, grape jelly, telling local history, and gardening.
I sure will miss his smile and laugh.
He lived his entire life on my block. Born in the house next to me, then lived in all of the 4 others except mine. He always said that he liked my property. The only time he didn't live on this block was during WW II, when he served our country.
Go in peace my friend.
Rest in Peace Frank,
They don't make'em any better than you.
Thanks for making my brief stay at Breese's a good one.
Fond thoughts, wishes and prayers for those closest to Frank
My husband Ron & I worked with Frank for many years and have very fond memories of him from his love of cars, gardening and fishing. We both remember Frank and what caring person he was. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Frank. Frank was like a father to me. I know that he is now in the presence of our Lord. My condolences to Mary, Deb, Ronnie and the rest of his family.
Mary and all,
Spent many mornings playing golf with Frank and found him to be a most enjoyable fellow. He told me he played in the drum and bugle corp with my father who also served in the Pacific. He reveled in telling of his short trips. He was lucky to have you Mary as indicated by his verbal respect and you were lucky to have him as indicated by his mild manner. Am so sorry for your loss. Lou Eichler
Although it's difficult today to see beyond the sorrow, may looking back in memory help comfort you tomorrow.
I drove many trips with Frank over the years for auto dealers and just a friendly folksy guy. May you cherish the memories.
