Obituary of Patsy J. Brack

Patsy J. Brack, 69 of Iowa City died Wednesday, January 4, 2012, at the Parkview Care Center in Wellman. Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 9, 2012, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Iowa City, with burial to follow at the St. Joseph's Cemetery in Iowa City. There will be a luncheon served at St. Patrick's following the services at the cemetery. Memorial donations can be made in Patsy's memory to Iowa City Hospice or St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Online condolences may be sent for her family through the web @ www.gayandciha.com. Patsy was born on May 8, 1942, in Bryan, Texas. She moved to Iowa City and graduated from City High School. She was united in marriage to James G. Brack in May of 1962 at St. Bridgett's Catholic Church in rural Johnson County, IA. Patsy was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Colonial Lanes bowling leagues, served as Den Mother of both her sons' scout troop, a member of The Commodore Computer Club, and enjoyed arts and crafts. Her family includes her husband, Jim; three children, Gary Brack (Julie) of Iowa City; Patrick Brack (Raun) of Chicago, IL; and Joanna Robinson of Iowa City; grandchildren, Dane, Dustin, Amber, Joshua, Stephan, Amanda, Daniel, and Christina; great-grandchildren, Haylee, Elizabeth, Andrew, and Noah. She was preceded in death by Margery and Homer McLearen, her mother and step-father; two step-brothers and one step-sister.
