Frederick "Fritz" Weber
1924 - 2012
Condolences
I have just become aware of Fritz's passing thanks to George Greenfield--I had the privilege of working with him in Scotland in the latter part of the sixties--he worked hard and integrated with the Scots very well--he seemed to enjoy his spell there with Uniroyal--For his family please accept our condolences although they are late
The rertirees from Scotland have an Annual lunch and I shall post his passing on the web site for these retirees

Bill ,
Your folks were very special people ! Sorry for your loss , Tim Evans
I forgot to mention one of my most favorite memories of working with Fritz. Every now and again, at 10:30 sharp, Fritz would walk down to Woolworth's and return with a box of freshly-baked glazed donuts for the office! I miss those days!
I worked for Fritz and Wanda back in the late 70's when they owned Management Recruiters. Fritz loved to talk politics with me and Wanda and I had birthdays just a week apart. It was that experience that made me decide to go back and finish my college degree with a business major. Both Fritz and Wanda were delightful people and I learned much from them...and enjoyed every minute!
Dear Weber Family,
When Fritz and Wanda walked the dog(s), they were the glue of the neighborhood. They would stop and chat with neighbors along their route, and soon more neighbors would stop and chat. We all started getting to know each other! We didn't realize what was happening until their first dog died, and the Webers didn't go for their walks. No one came out of their houses to talk to each other any more. When Eric, the dog, came along, the walks and neighborly chats resumed. Amazing how one friendly couple can bring so many people together!
Another story, a funny neighbor story, was after a big ice storm. Fritz couldn't get his car up the hill to his driveway. He kept sliding backwards (as did everyone in our valley). My husband and I offered to sit in the back seat to add some weight. The sand truck was just turning on to our street at the bottom of the hill, so we thought with our weight and a little sand he'd be able to make it. We let the truck go by first, then started in behind it. We were just about to the driveway, when we saw the big sand truck sliding backwards straight towards us! We all jumped out of the car and into another neighbor's yard because we were sure the truck was going to slide into us. But the driver managed to turn the truck around and go up the hill rear wheels first, so the sand would be in front of its wheels. None of us had ever seen anything like it. We marveled at this driver's quick thinking and skills on ice, then got Fritz safely into his driveway. Another story to add to his collection.
We will miss this warm and friendly couple.
I always enjoyed visting with Fritz walking around the track at Mercy Fitness and then at Panera. Interesting and lively conversations about life AND politics!! So many experiences and adventures during his wonderful life! Will both of you Fritz and Wanda!
It was an honor to be with Fritz and his family and to witness the love between generations. Truly, the family produced by the union of Fritz and Wanda is a testament to their love and commitment to each other.
Fritz started by telling me I could leave....Mr Independent...and we ended by sharing cookies and tales of walking canes. Even when he was grumpy, he would invite me to return....a true gentleman!
Thank you Fritz, Bill, Barb and Bill...
Kathy
My husband and I got to know Fritz and Wanda when they adopted " Eric ", Their Engish Cocker from us. Fritz would call us ,always on the speaker phone so Wanda could chime in, Eric needs a hair cut. Soon we were inviting them to stay and talk while I groomed and washed their baby. They took such great care of him and I got to see Eric more on " his " vacation while they went on one of their trips. Fritz talked of his military experience and would ask me about how many WW II veterans I would see at the VA. A loving and gentle couple . We are honored to have meet them.
