Condolences
Millie and family - I am very sorry to learn of Melvin's passing. We have such wonderful memories of being long-time neighbors. Lots of fun memories too of spending time at your home. Thank you for those special times. Melvin pierced my ears for me! I know he was good at it - had lots of practice. I am hopeful that your heart is lifted in moments of quiet reflection as to his special place in your lives.
My sincere sympathy to each of you. Melvin was a good man. Jeff had lots of stories of growing up in the neighborhood and hanging out at your house. He would often share them with us. Keep his memories alive and he will always be with you. Brenda Verry
So sorry for you loss. Hard to believe that this generation is leaving us by leaps and bounds. We lost Grandma's & Grandps's, hole generation, Now here we are losing our parents. Not liking it so much, mom never was able to get to know her Great Grand children. Dad loved them dearly but life was never the same without mom. I never got to now this side of Grandpa Walters (Art) family. Did see your father @ Dad's funeral wished I had more time to spend visiting with him as well as Willard. So to the rest of you, we will see them again before we know it and have all kinds of time to get to visit then. God Bless you all!

To the family of Melvin M. Walters,
I am sorry for your loss. May you find comfort in knowing that God is "near to those that are broken at heart; and those who are crushed in spirit he saves." (Psalm 34;18) With sympathy,
I have fond memories of Melvin. He is the person that pierced my ears when I was about 14. An ice cube, half a potato, a needle, and floss. Believe it or not im still wearing earrings in those holes. Was i brave or stupid? As a neighbor, growing up I spent a lot of time with the Walters family sometimes more at their house than my own. Also spent a lot of time camping with them. Good memories. I know he will be dearly missed by family and friends but is leaving behind many cherished memories. You are all in my thoughts
In my opinion we have yet another angel looking down on us....I think as we keep him ever so close to our hearts he will guide us to love each other and be kind and supportive of one another. It is what he wanted more than life itself. It was a joy to meet and know this man, I feel very blessed to have had him in my life and will carry him right next to my own grandparents...remembering him on a daily basis, sometimes with tears but mostly with a laugh, cuz that's how he rolled!!!
Walters Family you are all in my prayers. God Bless You All.
BOBBIE AND FAMILY, I AM SO SORRY ABOUT THE LOSS OF YOUR GRANDPA. I KNOW HOW CLOSE YOU WERE TO HIM. I KNOW WHAT YOU ARE GOING THROUGH, AFTER LOSING MY MAMA LAST MONTH. IT FEELS LIKE YOUR HEART IS BROKEN INTO A MILLION PIECES. THEY SAY TIME HEALS ALL WOUNDS, I DON'T KNOW YET......BUT I WILL BE HERE FOR YOU, IF YOU NEED ME, AND WE CAN START GLUING OUR HEARTS BACK TOGETHER, TOGETHER!! LOVE, T
I will always remember with great fondness the wonderful times we shared at family gatherings and camping trips. Melvin's laughter was contagious. I treasure those memories.
Dear Jim and Family,
