I was sorry to read about the death of Ila. she had a warm heart and good soul. I am so sorry I am so late but I only read about it recently.

Ronnie & I loved to deliver Meals on Wheels to Louie and Ila. We were so glad that they were the last stop on the route. What great visits we had. I'll always remember Ila's beautiful orchid in the kitchen windowsill And the visits at Crestview. Ila enjoyed sharing her computer with others to watch the Decorah eagles. What a joy to have known her.

My favorite memory of Ila was when we would watch Cathy do her cooking job after supper. Ila would sit there watching Cathy, drinking her milk as we joked about how Cathy was doing her job, we had everyone laughing including Cathy.

We spent many hours talking and she always had such a wonderful sense of humor,and always told me how lucky she was to have such a great family. I know she chereished EVERY single visit. Once she said that when her time came she was ready, and that her family wasn't; but she knew she would be looking over them until they joined them in heaven." Dear Family of Ila,

Sofie and I had the privilege of visiting Ila every Friday. Sofie is my Therapy Dog and she and Ila had a special bond. She would rub Sofie's ears while she would tell us about her Grandson and how proud she was of him. She loved it when he came to visit because he would always fill the bird feeders. She loved watching the birds. We also visited about how wonderfully she worked the computer and her ability to Skype. She loved visiting with her daughter and sharing what adventures they had been involved in.

Just saw in the paper that your Mom has passed. Wanted you to know you are in our thoughts and prayers. Will never forget her friendly, smiling ways. She was a very kind and gentle woman.
