Obituary of Donelle D. Lindsey

Donelle D. Lindsey, 30, of Iowa City, died Friday, June 22, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, June 29, 2012, at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City. Visitation will be from 11am until services on Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Donelle's memory. Online condolences may be sent for his family through the web @ www.gayandciha.com. Donelle Derrell Lindsey, was born December 7, 1981, in Chicago, Illinois. Until age 8, he lived in Chicago and attended Crispus Attucks Elementary. At the age of 8, he moved to Iowa City, with his familyand attended schools in the Iowa City District, graduating from Iowa City High School in 2000. Donelle leaves behind to cherish his memories, his mother, Marvella Lindsey; father, Rodelle Harris; step-father, Vance Dillon, who raised Donelle; 3 brothers, Donald, Donta, and Donzell Lindsey; 2 sisters, Marvella Amber and Teonna; 3 step-brothers, Vance Jr., Vershun, and Veondre; sister-in-law, Gwen; special nephew, Devon; special grandmother, Patricia; special friend; Shalethia Hollie and a close cousin, Charron; a host of nieces and nephews, aunties, uncles, cousins, and friends. Donelle was a very special person who had love for everyone and was loved by everyone. He loved to party, dance and have a good time. He loved all the kids and will truly be missed. So for now, we will wipe our tears away and see you again someday. R.I.P. RELL.
