Condolences
R.I.P. my dear old friend
To the Halter family, you have my deepest condolences. He was a friend and brother in hi-jinks, fun, & fireworks, and has been greatly missed for some time.
You were always my protector. No one has ever loved me so unconditionally that didn't have to. I never deserved to have had someone in my life so non judgmental, during the rough and good times, both in my life. You will never ever be forgotten, and I am so lucky to have had you in my life. You were my guardian angel for many years. There are not enough good things that I could say about you. I only hope that I can be half the wonderful person you were. RIP my dearest friend. I have learned so much from you, and I am taking that with me. xoxo
RIP Greg. You will be greatly missed.
My sympathies to the Halter family. I have many fond memories of Greg on and off over the years years. The same personality that drew us to him, will keep his memory alive in us all. RIP old friend!
I would like to extend my heartfelt condolences at this difficult time. Lots of good memories from "back in the day"; hoping Greg's family and friends find peace and comfort in the days ahead.
Lots of miles and many roads with Greg. My prayers is for the family to find peace in this time. Life is short, live it well and leave it better.
Vern and Greg grew up together and I've known Greg for forty years, so we have a lifetime of memories. He is missed. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. Remember the good times with joy. Vern and Susie

I just learned of Greg's passing from a friend, yesterday. I would like to extend my heartfelt sympathies at this difficult time. I am truly sorry for your loss. How fitting that Greg passed away on the 4th of July...he was such a firecracker!! Greg had a reputation that nobody wanted to mess with and I am glad to say that he liked me :) Wishing Greg's family and friends peace and comfort now and in the days ahead. Cherish the memories... we all have Greg stories to share, and carry with us.
God Bless,
Krista
We would like to send our condolences to Cody and family. So sorry for your loss.
Although I've only met Greg a couple times in my life, I've always enjoyed receiving his hand crafted gifts, and I fully credit him (and Pam) for my life and me being here. Who knows who my parents would have been if it hadn't been for him getting Mary and Perry together. He will always be remembered and missed, my thoughts and great sympathies go out to the family.
gregs name is one that is brought up often when we talk about parties in high school...about camping at the res...and life. memories of friends that fill my heart with a smile.

Although, I didn't know Greg at all, I did know Cody when he worked for me previously. I wish to express my condolences to the whole family, especially to Cody. I'm so sorry for your loss. From reading the other comments, he sounded like a very fun guy. Hope you all find peace and can remember the good times with a smile, and he'll live on in your hearts.
To the Halter family,
Pam , sorry to hear about your brother. Take care and god bless
I have so many memories that I get overwhelmed at times. However I have two that always pop up. 1) when Greg and Diane were dating (early to mid 70's) we were living in Coralville. My Mom was still in nursing school and we had little to no money. Greg would walk in the house with a big grocery sack of food yelling at everyone in house - COME ON. Now not just once but all the time!!! Even at that young age he was trying to take care of his friends and family. That bigheartedness NEVER left him. 2)when Justin was learning to potty train, in the old Halter family farm house, he went to the bathroom. All of sudden he was screaming at the top of lungs. Justin had lifted up the seat, was in the process of lining up and the seat lid came back down and pinched him. I never saw Greg move so fast!! Good thing no was in his way. After the crisis was over Greg got to laughing - remember that laugh ;-}
