We are so sorry to learn of Sharon's passing. We will be holding your family in my thoughts and prayers.
Todd & Janelle,
To Todd, Amy, Seth, Pauline, and Elijah,
It is late Saturday night, I can imagine you are all physically and emotionally drained. But given time you will gain a sense of understanding that there is a tomorrow and a day after. Sharon would have wanted you to celebrate and remember, but we all know that life requires participation and that is what will be required of you in the forthcoming days.
Today, however, like many when experiencing the loss of their parent, feel hollow, empty, and truly ":heart sick" with pain. I must tell you there is no remedy for that, it will not dissipate quickly, and it will hurt for sometime. But during that time you will continue to lean on the memories of today and the past, you will turn to friends who have walked this walk, and may you each have your own spiritual connectedness that will give you hope and trust in an eternal God.
Thank you so much for allowing me to be part of this day. I loved seeing each and every one of you and I saw the beaming of a proud parent as I looked at your father. Stay connected to each other, enjoy the persona of your dad, find reasons to celebrate with him, and may you each forever carry the multi- talents that you have inherited from your loving parents!!!
Sincerely.... the neighbor girl down the road...

I am so sad to learn of Sharon's passing. My mom, Barbara Corrigan, worked with her mom, Polly, for years at American Republic Ins. Co. in Des Moines. I came to work in 4 West Intermediate Nursery in Oct. of 1988. I loved working with Sharon at UIHC and felt a bond with her since our moms knew each other before Sharon and I did! I will miss her. May God comfort you in the days ahead. My love to you, Lynn
