Gene O. Allen
1952 - 2012
Condolences
Christi, Ray and Diana,
Christy, Jeni, Jesse, and family,
We were saddened to read of Gene's passing in the Hampton paper.
What a great loss for you and what a great homecoming for Gene.
He is free at last. We have fond memories of all of you. You are in our prayers
in the coming days.
Christi, I read with sadness Gene's obituary in the Hampton paper. I have so many fond memories of the days/nights I spent at your house scrapbooking with Mom. (you were sooo wonderful with my mom, and I think about that so often). Gene always came in to look at all our scrapbooks and showed such genuine interest in us silly ladies and our projects. He was so friendly, such a kind and gentle man. I do hope our paths will cross again, Christi. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.
I was shocked and saddened to see Gene's obituary. Many years ago Gene came and bought a hog farrowing building from us at our farm near Coulter. We were impressed with Gene as a genuine person. My mother also said she read the obituary and remembers Gene very well. We think Christi came with him to get the building. Gene was always friendly whenever we happened to cross paths and I tried to keep track of him throughout the years. Judging from all the kind remembrances, other people were equally impressed with the very good man he was.

Dear Kristy- I'm so sorry for your loss. I have very fond memories of Gene from West High. I remember when you started dating. Sometimes he was the brunt of our tee pee pranks. He always took it in stride with maybe just a little blushing, but always a big smile. I hope you find peace and comfort during this difficult time. With heartfelt sympathy-Candy Tompkins Daniels
The world needs more men like Gene.... an honorable, man. Anyone who had a chance to cross paths with him was certainly blessed and better for it.
Blessings and comfort to his precious family. Paul and Belen Krabbe
Christi & family... We are deeply saddened to learn of Gene's being called Home. He was my Junior high locker mate, high school classmate and one of the all-around "good guys." Our prayers go out to you and your family. He will be missed here on earth, but we will rejoice when we meet again in Heaven. It is times like this that we sometimes feel frustrated that we are so far away from Iowa. Ironically, I have many family still in and around Hampton but we don't get many chances to visit much any more. May the Lord's grace and peace be with you all.
Dearest Christi, Jesse, and Jeni
My deepest sympathy to all. Gene was a rock! He was the calm in the storm, the rainbow after a the rain, and sensible in the midst of craziness. I will always have fond memories of him and all of you. I am so sorry I heard this news too late. I know there is a great re-union going on in heaven this week. Sometimes we don't know if we should cry for those who die too young or for those who are left behind.
You will all be in our thoughts and prayers in the coming days and in the future,
Charlane

Gene had such an authentic love for the Lord that he willingly and graciously shared with others. Thank you for your example. You made a difference! We will continue to pray for your family and friends in this time of loss.
I'm very sad to hear about Gene's passing.
He was a great influence and mentor for me. I spent several
Jr High, Summer's living and working with Gene on his
farm and the farms he looked after as a farmhand
in Hampton / Geneva, Ia. Jay Van Wert, I think was the
farmer's name that we worked for. He lost a finger
when he and his brother were walking the beans with
steak knives but I digress.
I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

So sorry to hear about Gene. He was a wonderful man and honored to have known him. I remember him most back in the day when my family had the tire store in Hampton and he would come in. He was always very nice to me. Some 20+ years later I ran into him and he remembered and talked to me like it had just been yesterday that we last visited. My thoughts and prayers are with his family during this time and hopefully the memories of such an amazing man and what he brought to this world will help you through this and heal.
So sorry for your loss. Our prayers are with the family. He will be missed at our next class reunion
Dear Kristi and Family: We were so sorry to hear of Gene's passing. Gene put up such a strong fight and he inspiried so many in the way he always had such a positive attitude and always had a smile on his face no matter how awful he felt. Glenn so enjoyed working with Gene first at FS in Alexander; and then Five Star Cooperative in Klemme. Gene was such a dedicated worker and cared about each employee. Whenever he came to Klemme, Gene always brought rolls for his fellow co-workers. I also enjoyed getting to know Gene and you Krist; at the Christmas parties; and then when we would see each other at our children's high school track meets. Gene was always so thoughtful when he would see Glenn and would ask how my health was doing. We so enjoyed visting with Gene as well asyou Kristi when we saw one another. We are thankful that Gene's suffering is over with and that he is at Peace. His faith in God was so very strong and Gene inspired so many people. We send our heartfelt smpathy as well as our love; hugs; and prayers. May God be with all of you at this difficult time. Sincerely Sandy and Glenn Hansen
Allen Family you are all in our prayers. Claude, Carol, Ray everyone may God Bless you all.
My heart goes out to all of you at this time. Was great to spend time with all of you in Cancun last year. Great memories!. While Gene will truely be missed here, it must be a bitter sweet welcoming for Joel, his parents, & grandparents.
Gene leaves behind an exceptionally strong family who will support each other with great memories to endure the pain of his absence. He will truely be missed by many. Bless you all.
