Henry J. Klosterman

Condolences
My grandpa was a great man! He would eat anchovies at my house when I was younger and made me even try one. Blech! I will always remember him as the caring and comical person he was! I only wish I knew about his death sooner and could see him one last time!! :(
Henry was a stellar enigma of a man. Wonderful heart and wonderful actions.
I will miss his friendship and charm and warmth.
Please take care of yourself andy. You are very special and were very special to henry.
Love always,

I will truly miss you "Hank" "Henry". When I first met you in Cedar Rapids June/July 2009 you were helping a wonderful lady that I had just met. She introduced me to you and we immediately became friends. You were so helpful and gracious. I got to hang out with you in your home and you showed me all your collections etc. You were so proud of your dogs. Thank you for being so open and honest. Being a great listener. Showing others what God has given you. You were a true friend of Bill W. Love ya
To Hanks children, grandchildren, and friends, our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Beverly and her daughter Suzy Nelson Whitney, were able to visit with Hank earlier this month, and that is a source of comfort. We feel blessed to have had Hank in or lives, a really open hearted guy, just like his father. May Hank rest in peace. In Christs Love, Beverly and Randy Nelson
Hank was a true and trustworthy friend, through thick and thin. His passing creates a huge vacuum in the social fabric of Iowa City. He offered his friendship to all who were willing to accept it. He was a cheerful and adventurous type who emphasized the good side of life. I always knew that if things got tough, Hank would do what he could to help out. I can't imagine how many friends he has. He will live on in our memories as one of the "good guys." That's for sure. -Bob
Henry will be truly missed by his family, friends and his dogs. He had a heart of gold. The world is not the same without Hank. He was a very good friend to me. My sympathy to those he left behind.
Stacy and Andy,
I am so sorry for your loss. May the love and fond memories of your grandfather surround you during this time of grieving. Sending prayers for you and your family.
The Staff at Lindale Dental, would like to send our deepest condolence to the Klosterman family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this time of loss. Henry was a wonderful person and we are all blessed to have had the oppurtunity to care for him over the last several years.
I met Hank in 1970, and was very taken by his quiet generosity and kindness. My brother always referred to Hank as "The Mayor of Iowa City",largely due to his" Holding Court" on the ped mall with his many and varied friends!
up5tjHank was the sweetest man and had the most wonderful caring attitude.I was blessed and lucky to have spent his last few weeks with him on a regular basis. I will miss him greatly.I extend my sympathies to his children and grandchildren.
Sorry to hear about Hank's death.
He stopped in Texas one winter and Roberta(my brother's widow and I spent an afternoon talking about memories.
Hank was such a dear friend. We would meet for coffee quite regularly, go out for breakfast sometimes,he would come over for cookouts and Christmas dinner. Whenever I would call Hank...he would always say ... "I was just thinking about you!"
What a dear man he was. I will miss him always.
