I am so sorry for your loss Patti. I know exactly how it feels to loss a parent, it is never easy. I pray that his memories uplift you and your family. He is free now from all of his hurt and worries. I pray for comfort, and strength in your time of grief. If you need anything, I am here.

Our family has known George, Barb and the girls since I was a young girl. Even though we had not seen each other in recent years, I thought of them often. I have many great childhood memories from those days that included both of our families. My heart is saddened to hear of Georges' passing but I am comforted by knowing that he is at peace and with the love of his life once again. Go with God, Suzy and Patti and know that your old friends are thinking about you, praying for you and your families and that your Dad will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.

While researching my family tree I learned I was related to George and Barbara and wasted no time in contacting them. I will never forget all the stories George told me about being raised with my mother Dorothy Kellogg. Our phone calls could last for hours full of laughter and tears of "back when we were growing up." I also will never forget the surprise visit we made to all of you in Iowa City and seeing your mom's and dad's face - the visit was all to brief but we felt like we had come home. George was quck with a joke or story always with that radiant smile . George was a very kind caring and loving individual that will never be forgotten My thoughts and prayers are going out the family..

We always enjoyed when George dropped in for his Chinese lunch. He had terrific stories and shared his life experiences with us. A man with strong opinions, he would defend them with the same vigor that he showed in the marines. We were all so glad that he got to go to DC and enjoyed seeing the photos. Thinking of all of you in the Graves family during this time.....George was an amazing guy who fought for our country and consistently tried to do the right thing even if it meant going against the grain. I loved George's sense of humor, his candor, and his daily check in's with me at the office. A day didn't go by that George didn't stop by the hospital and see what the daily news was or say hi to his fellow co-workers. I wish I had been given the chance to say good-bye before he departed, I'll certainly miss him.
