Condolences
Know that all of you are in my prayers and thoughts at this time. While my memories with your family took place years ago, you have always remained dear to my heart. One memory of Ed that I will never forget took place at our Group Reunion at First Presbyterian Church long after we had grown and many of us had married and had children. The memory remains private because the words Ed said to me were meant only for me, but he will never know how much his heartfelt words and hug meant to me or the impact he made on my life at that moment.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family as you go through this difficult time. A father is a monarch of the home and a great loss for all. Remember your memories. They are to be treasured. Our Love, John and Debby
We are so sad to hear that Ed has died. Our prayers of support go out to all of his family and friends.

Very sorry to learn of Ed's passing. I had a great deal of respedct for him, for Kay and Ed's parents. I grew up with a great love for the family to the point that I lived with his parents for a short while. Then was proud to worik with Ed through the Ottumwa Schools and the Area. Thank you Kay for your life and introducing us to your parents. They were great people. Praying for you.
I have many good memories of Ed. He hired me to work in Cintinuing Education in 1975. I later followed him at Adult Basic Education. He had so many good ideas. He always had a smile or laugh.
"Grandpa Green" was an amazing grandfather to my children and I am forever indebted to him for this. His gift was himself... He was always teaching about the farm and world around him. He had an infectious laugh and wonderful sense of humor. Rather than elaborate gifts, he gave his time to his grandchildren. The experiences they had on the farm with him and Grandmom are invaluable and something they will never forget. Whether it was fishing, "walking the beans", blackberry hunting, tending to his precious cows, walking the farm with beloved dogs, harvesting from the garden or looking for wild turkeys, he was always ready to make anything a learning experience and I'm sure the kids never realized they were always in a classroom with him!
Thinking about all of you and prayers for his blessed soul. Love to you all
I knew Ed from volunteering at Oaknoll. He was a remarkable person whom I will never forget. We played cards several times and I always loved to listen to his stories about his family and farm. He was always fun to be around and he will be missed.
