JIm - so sorry to hear about Marg's passing. We wanted to make the trip to Iowa City so Marg could see our son Hadley - as she told me he was her youngest grandson. I am so grateful that we were able to send a card and picture of Hadley before her passing. I have nothing but the best of memories of all the times I spent visiting with her in Hawleyville. She was without a doubt one of the "finest" women I know.
It is difficult for me to put into words, what a truly amazingly caring person Margie was to so many people. My first memories of Margie was when her and Frank operated the dry cleaning business in Clarinda and when she would visit her sister Evelyn, in Hawleyville, who lived across the street from us, prior to us moving to Oregon. When I returned to Iowa for visits, I had the pleasure of visiting with her and Tom. It was such a treat and joy to visit with Margie. Is was so fun to listen to her tell stories of the silly things we had done through the years. She was always so caring and thoughtful of others always trying to help.

I knew Marj as Grandma Laundamat. Grandma was the first person my folks took me to see. Less than 24 hours old, the way home from the hospital, in a snow storm, the folks stopped by the cleaners to present me to Grandma Laundramat. When I was old enough to walk to the Sycamore Mall, I would go see her at the uniform shop. Marj was always full of joy and called herself the "modern Grandma"! When I had kids I began writing to her and calling from time to time. My kids were as enchanted with her as I was. She was a true light in this word! Sincerely, Alicia miller
Jim, Mona, Brian and Scott, and family, our thoughts are with you and hope that you feel God's loving arms around you as you travel this journey. You were able to walk her to that bridge and now she is God's care. We are thinking of all of you.
