Marilyn J. Swails
1927 - 2013
Condolences
Rex and family,
Clara and the rest of the Swails family,
It is hard to lose someone near and dear to your heart. You take one day at a time, you live for the memories and it shows your support system. You will be in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.

I was sorry to hear Jean has passed away. She was a very sweet person with a warm, caring personality. She always greeted you with a friendly smile. I regret not being able to come to the funeral...the flu first started with my 6 month old granddaughter and has now spread to my wife and I. My sincere condolences to Rex, Denny, Jennifer, Bud, Donna, Bob and family members.
I can sympathize with your loss as Mom (Mary Carter) passed away
this past October 19th. I always find myself wanting to call her and ask her genealogy questions and then I have to remind myself that I cant! I know Mom always enjoyed Jean's company and shared the experience of attending nursing school in Iowa City. They were 7 months apart exactly!
Mary and I will miss Jean...
We were very sad to hear of Jean's passing she was a wonderful person and will be greatly missed.
We always enjoyed getting together with her, and we loved her cooking, she was such a good cook!
She was so kind, and was always there to offer a helping hand. I remember when Vicki was a baby and had bad colic and was crying for hours at night. she offered for us to come over to stay for a few days so she could help out. We took her up on it, and she was really was a great help. We were so thankful for that.
Rex, we are praying for you and all of your family at this time.
With Love and sympathy,
Terry, Dorothy, Bob Carter, and family

We are thankful to have lived next door to Marilyn for the past 15 years. We especially enjoyed our hours of fellowship on the front porch. She was a wonderful, caring person and we will miss her. Our thoughts are with you and your family, Rex, at this difficult time.
Love,
Chuck, Lisa , Cassie, Alex and Adam Bogh
Truly one of, if not the the best, people that I have ever known. She loved her mission in life, & executed it very well. She will be missed by her loving family as well as her friends. I was very shocked when I saw the obit,on the net. Take care Rex, my prayers are with you on this occasion. Bud. & JJAv
I remember spending times with Aunt Jean and the rest of the family at the river. Aunt Jean was a loving and caring person. She will be truly missed.
To the relatives she was known as Jean. If you called her house and ask for Jean Rex knew it was someone from her past. Of the thirty three Carter cousins there are only thirteen left on earth. I enjoyed talking to her and sorry I will no longer have that opportunity. May peace and love surround the family at this time.
Marilyn was truly one of a kind! She was very kind and compassionate, always putting the needs of others before hers. She is now free of pain and celebrating with her Lord and Saviour with Loren. What a beautiful lady.
