Condolences
Missing you today and everyday. I love you Dad
Tom was a very nice and helpful coworker. He showed me the town and made me feel very welcome.I was 2000 miles from home.I called him in yr 2000 and had a nice conversation.I am very sorry for your loss.I know others from AMPRO have also passed on.
Only God knows the number of steps we will take as we traverse this earthly life.
We are all but strangers here on this side of the curtain of Life - Heaven is our true home.
On behalf of the members and officers of the United States JCI Senate, we extend our heartfelt condolences on your loss.
No words can truly ease the pain nor can they fill the void of your loss. Only God's hand can offer that healing.
Know that your Senate Family prays for you and your family. We offer our shoulder and arms for comfort. We share your loss.
Sorry for your loss. Tom was a great person. I would walk with him at times leaving the UIHC...if just to cross the street on Hawkins Dr....always smiling...sorry for his mother leaving the the same day..Ted, Nancy, and Jack Koerner
Dear Dad,
We never fully understood why we moved to Iowa. But, God had a plan for us to spend your final years near your granddaughter. I am truly blessed that GOd brought you into our lives. You didn't get me life, but you gave me life. I love you!
Sharon,
We were sorry to hear of Tom's death. You are in our thoughts. You have allot of great memories - let them help you throught this difficult time.
Hugs and Prayers,

Sharon and family,
Our condolences go out to you and your family. It has been an especially difficult time with my sister Betty passing on the same day as Tom. They will certainly meet in Heaven with our Lord. May God bless you and we will keep you in our prayers. Helen Zajicek Driscoll and family
I was so sorry to hear of Tom's death. Although I did not know him, he sounds like one special man that will be greatly missed.
So sorry to hear of Tom's passing. He was always so robust and full of life. It's hard to believe that someone so young and strong can be conquered by ALS. Whenever I stopped by to see my dad, Ken, at AmPro, Tom never failed to smile and say "hello" and share a wisecrack or two. He will be missed by many.
I haven't seen Tom for probably well over 30 years, when he helped my ex-wife with her leg prothesis from a car accident we were in. Tom was a classmate at Solon until he moved to (I believe) City High in Iowa City. I remember being sad that he was moving. Tom always had a kind heart and kind eyes. It has been a joy to read some of the comments here and how he affected so many lives. Blessings to the family in this loss and the loss of Betty as well.

Dear mrs ham (sharon)
I am am a polio survivor and first went to Tom in the early 70s. I needed an "old fasioned brace" duplicated. Tom agreed to try it. We worked together and I walked on that brace for many years after. I, of course , have had many visits, adjusments, New shoes, etc. since. Two years ago we drove from here, (bella vista, Ar) So that Tom could put new stirrups on a couple of new shoes. I refused to trust any one else. I no longer am walking but thank him for the many years he kept me walking.
My best to you and your family.

Tom was such a good friend to me ! His helping hand guided me through some difficult times. I will forever remember his friendship and kindness. Tom will be forever in my memories. My heart felt sympathy to Sharon and Toms family.
Sharon,
Sharon and family, words can not express the loss of anyone in our lives. I know Tom being released from ALS is a blessing. The both of you lived your lives to the fullest. I have always admired your love for family and friends. Anyone that had the opportunity to know you and your family were incredibly blessed.
Tom has been such a great friend over the years, from high school days and
all the way thru retirement years. I loved running into him in the hallways at U of Ia Hospitals where we'd share stories of old high school days & swap news about our families as our kids grew up. It was extremely difficult to see Tom failing this past year. My condolences to the family during this difficult time.
Sharon and family,
So sad to hear of Toms passing. What a truely sweet and kind gentleman he was. I'm glad we got to see and be with you both recently. May memories of your happy life with Tom help hold you together during this very sad time.
Sharon,
I am so sorry for your loss. Tom is in my thoughts and prayers. I have such great memories of him from good ol' Hastings Ave. I wish you guys didn't move! The first few things that pop into my mind when I think of Tom are; your glass tropical coffee tables, the INDOOR hot tub, and the best question ever Michelle, do you want a Klondike bar? I always loved seeing him up the street. He always put a smile on my face (you too, of course:) what would my mother have done without your awesome sewing room and endless supply of whatever we seemed to be out of). I will be frequently reminded of Tom for many years to come. My bike means so much to me and I think of him every time I see it. He was truly a great guy. Again, he is in all my thoughts and prayers. Love, Michelle
Sharon I can't tell you how many times I read today's newspapers before I realized what I was seeing and reading. There are no words that can be said to remove the pain you are going through. keep all of your memories close to your heart and Tom will always be with you. My thoughts and Prayers go out to you and your family in this double loss.
